Getting from Hobart Airport to our base
Our base is in the car park of the Queen's Head Hotel, 400 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart. It's about 25 minutes' drive from Hobart Airport and 5 minutes from the CBD. There are three easy ways to get to us.
Taxi (easiest, door to door)
Taxis wait at the rank directly outside the terminal. The ride to North Hobart takes about 25 minutes. Expect to pay roughly $45–60 depending on the time of day.
Uber or rideshare
Rideshares pick up from the airport's designated rideshare area. The trip takes about 25 minutes and is usually a little cheaper than a taxi.
SkyBus + short hop (cheapest for solo travellers)
The SkyBus Hobart Express runs from the airport into the Hobart CBD, timed around flight arrivals. It's turn-up-and-go, so there's no need to book a specific time.

Adult fare: $24 one way or $44 return. Children aged 4–16 pay $6.60 one way, buying from the driver.

Timing your pickup around your flight
Our standard pickup and drop-off hours are 8:30am to 5pm, every day of the week, in hourly time slots. Choose the slot that suits your arrival when you book, and allow at least an hour after landing to collect your bags and get across town.
Landing late? We offer 24/7 pickups, so we can meet you even if your flight gets in late at night. Let us know your flight number and arrival time when you book, and we'll arrange it with you.
Flight delayed? No stress. Send us a message as soon as you know, and we'll adjust your pickup time.
Picking up the same day you land? Absolutely. Plenty of our guests go straight from the plane to the van. Same-day bookings depend on availability, though, so book ahead to secure your van.
Returning your van before your flight
Drop your van back at our North Hobart base during your booked return slot (8:30am–5pm). From there it's about 25 minutes to the airport by taxi or rideshare, or you can catch the SkyBus from the city.
As a rule of thumb for flights, return the van at least 2 hours before departure. That covers the drive, check-in and a bit of breathing room. If you've got an early-morning or late-night flight, get in touch and we'll work out a drop-off key box for you.

Do you have a desk at Hobart Airport?
No. We're based at the Queen's Head Hotel in North Hobart, about 25 minutes from the airport by taxi or rideshare, or you can take the SkyBus into the city and it's a 5-minute hop from there. We don't offer airport delivery or drop-off.
How far is your base from the airport?
About 25 minutes' drive, and 5 minutes from the Hobart CBD.
Can I store luggage?
Yes. Luggage storage is free and unlimited for the whole of your hire.
Can I pick up on the day I land?
Yes, our standard hours are from 8.30am to 5pm. Book ahead and choose a pickup time that allows for your flight. If you land late, we can accommodate most requests outside traditional our usual business hours.
What if my flight's delayed?
Message us as soon as you know and we'll move your pickup time tonou rclosest availability. We understand this isn't your fault and no penalty charge will be applied if your flight is delayed.
